Open Space Coordinator (Smart Growth Planner) Position Number: APR000861AHO Grade: 22 Salary Range: $41,980-$71,631 (This position is not covered by the State of Arizona Merit System) *Prefer applicant with Master's Degree. *Prefer applicant with major course work in government, geography, urban planning, the social/natural sciences and/or related field. *Prefer applicant with experience in Global positioning systems (GPS),GIS/GPS systems and experience in planning/parks sectors involving the development of guidelines, plans, policies, and inventory and evaluation of open space. Description of Duties: Represents the agency on the state trust land reform, and supports the activities of the Governor's Growth Cabinet. Makes recommendations to Parks Board, Executive Staff and the Chief of Resources Management. Makes decisions and develops management guidelines. Develops an open space inventory and evaluation system; develops open space and natural area protection policies; develops GIS database for open space.
