This position serves as the Assistant Director for Partnerships and Civic Engagement with responsibility for providing leadership, policy development, external and congressional liaison, program accountability and budget formulations in the functional areas of partnerships, community assistance programs and the promotion of outdoor recreation. The challenge is to find new ways to revitalize the National Park Service mission of preserving and interpreting our nation’s natural and cultural heritage. The task of meeting the goal of building a citizenship committed to the nation’s principles and purposes, which is accomplished through empowering partnerships, and citizens.
