Technology Coordinator, Conservation Corps—Trails Conditions Inventory
Conservation Begins Here. The Student Conservation Association (SCA), the nation’s leading conservation service organization for young people, is seeking a Technology Coordinator to work with SCA’s Nationwide Trail Condition Inventory Program in partnership with the US Fish and Wildlife Service. The position will be located at our program office in Boise, ID.
Primary Responsibilities:
Supervising national data collection efforts and providing logistical support to all program operations Develop and implement trainings, troubleshoot technology issues, schedule teams
Work with agencies and provide quality assurance and quality control of the process Assist the Program Manager & Program Director in the oversight of key operational and administrative aspects of the program Qualifications: BA/BS in Environmental Education/Science, Natural Resource Management, Geographic Information Systems or related field; or equivalent field experience preferred Proven experience with ARCGIS, ARCPAD, database management, Trimble GPS Data Collection Systems and data dictionaries.
Experience in training of these topics highly desired
Minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible outdoor program/project management experience Proven experience coordinating and managing complex logistics and multiple schedules Strong written and oral communication skills Experience with Microsoft Office Products Ability to work independently and as part of a team, Ability to work effectively in a face paced environment. Proven organizational skills, time management, and public speaking skills. Willingness to travel by air on a regular basis regionally and nationally. Current WFR and CPR certification helpful Valid driver’s license and MVR that meets SCA's guidelines. Must pass SCA criminal background check
