Applicants are sought for entry level (WG-03), experienced trail workers (WG-05), and crewleader (WG-07) positions. Projects include new trail construction in a high alpine environment, restoration of damaged tundra ecosystems, trail bridge construction and rehabilitation of a historic trail. While Denali does not have a backcountry trail program, all worksites are away from the road and have spectacular scenery. Inexpensive housing is available. Living and working in Denali offers unparalleled access to backcountry camping, trail-less Wilderness, and wildlife and scenery viewing. Come work with a fun and highly motivated crew and make a difference in Denali, "Crown Jewel" of the Alaskan National Parks. Jobs are announced at www.usajobs.opm.gov beginning in early January. Entry level positions will probably be open for 7-10 days and trailworker and crewleader positions will probably be open for 2-3 weeks.
