IMBA Hiring Event Coordinator The International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) seeks a full-time events coordinator planning and executing events around the country and the world. This position will work out of IMBA's Boulder headquarters The IMBA events coordinator helps prioritize, plan, budget, publicize and execute IMBA hosted events. He or she works with IMBA-affiliates, event promoters, sponsors and coalition-partners to market and coordinate events that further IMBA's mission and reach new market segments within the general mountain bike community. The events coordinator helps organize IMBA's presence at trails, advocacy and mountain bike gatherings and manage IMBA's short and long-term event strategy. Specific events include: domestic and international summits; IMBA Epic rides program; National Take A Kid Mountain Biking Day; Washington, DC-based advocacy events; cycling festivals and races. IMBA Event Program Goals: - Create awareness of IMBA and our mission: To create, enhance and preserve trail experiences for mountain bikers worldwide. - Develop a marketing buzz surrounding IMBA's work and awareness of our initiatives. - Promote IMBA relevance to riders, bicycle industry and decision makers. - Fundraise. - Ensure IMBA is represented at important state and national trail, access and industry gatherings. - Build organizational capacity and increase membership. - Broaden IMBA's demographic profile. Event Program Objectives: - Establish targets for each event such as membership, attendance, fundraising, media exposure, volunteer training/skill development, etc. - Maximize the power of our online database to organize, promote and fundraise for IMBA events. - Manage IMBA's online events calendar and event promotions, and registration. - Support IMBA affiliate events via online event management tools. - Create templates for clubs and reps to be empowered to represent IMBA at local/regional events in conjunction with Field Programs staff. About IMBA The International Mountain Bicycling Association is a non-profit association whose mission is to create, enhance, and preserve trail experiences for mountain bikers worldwide. Since 1988, IMBA has been bringing out the best in mountain biking by encouraging low-impact riding, volunteer trail work, cooperation among different trail user groups, grassroots advocacy and innovative trail management solutions. Compensation The IMBA events coordinator is part of the program and government affairs team and assists with some department administrative functions. Salary in the low $30K's.
