Hosted by AmericanTrails.org Preserve District in IL seeks maintenance superintendent Deadline: June 8, 2007 Lake County Forest Preserve District Assistant Superintendent of Maintenance Operations Full-Time Starting Salary Range: $51,813 - $64,818 Location: Wauconda, IL The Assistant Superintendent estimates, plans, schedules, inspects and supervises completion of grounds and facility maintenance activities, minor natural resources and facility repairs and assists with management and project coordination of the Youth Conservation Program. Monitors jobs and projects to ensure they comply with work requests and determines needed changes. Encourages full compliance with District safety rules. EXPERIENCE: Associate's degree in park management, natural resource management, conservation, horticulture or closely related field. Five years experience in the supervision of employees in the maintenance of parks and recreation facilities. Working knowledge of the principals and practices used in park management; working knowledge of equipment and vehicles used in the field. Must possess an Illinois Public Pesticide Applicator license. Ability to obtain certification as a National Playground Safety Inspector. Must possess valid driver's license.
