Hosted by AmericanTrails.org Student Conservation Association seeks 07-08 interns Greetings from SCA's national headquarters! It is already time to begin planning your winter and spring internships; positions beginning between October 1, 2007 and April 30, 2008. (Should you not be a user of SCA Conservation Interns and Crews please pass this email on to a colleague who is or simply disregard this message.) Submitting your request before Monday, July 9, 2007 will allow us to recruit the largest pool of applicants for your position, but you are welcome to submit a request after that time. If you need assistance in obligating year-end funds, we're glad to help; simply contact Rita Corliss, Assistant Director at rcorliss@theSCA.org, or me at mtowns@theSCA.org, and we will guide you through the process. SCA interns are engaged in many activities, including prescribed fire and fuels management, fire restoration, GIS/GPS projects, researching and writing plans, planning events, community outreach, serving as artists-in-residence and coordinating other volunteers. Whatever your needs or wishes, an SCA intern can help! To assist with budget planning, please visit http://www.thesca.org/ptnrs_interncosts/ to view intern cost estimates.
