PENN TRAILS L.L.C., a member of the national Professional Trail Builders Association, provides trails assessment, planning, design, construction, and remediation services to public and private land agencies and owners, with our focus on sustainable, accessible, all weather trails. Penn Trails also provides a wide range of trails related recreation and education programs, including guided backpacking, hiking, and biking trips.
Training, courses, and workshops offered
Penn Trails is a National Account Instructor for the American Red Cross and we offer Wilderness & Remote First Aid training/certification 16hrs 2-yr cert.), as well as other ARC trainings & certification classes.
Penn Trails also developed and facilitated the Backcountry Leadership & Decision Making curriculum for the PA Bureau of State Parks, Environmental Education Staff training.
Penn Trails provides Trail Crew Leader Training & Trail Crew training programs (2 to 5 day curriculum options), Job Hazard Analysis & Risk Management training.
Penn Trails developed and created the curriculum, as well as, facilitates the training for the Pennsylvania Conservation Corps’ Trail Crew Leader and Trail Crew Trails Training Programs.. The course includes:
