Before they came to Blue Ember Technologies, LLC and its parent company, Intellimar, Inc. (a premier national perimeter security company), many of our employees had hiked and biked on and camped and hunted nearby American Trails. From California’s Desolation Valley and Trinity Alps to North Carolina’s Appalachian Trail and the Potomac River Road in Maryland. And many others in between and beyond. Blue Ember’s design team has used several generations of accumulated “trail wisdom” to inform them of trail-specific bollard designs. We design our MaxiForce bollards for trail scenarios with trail masters, environmental conditions and users in mind.

And we attend to the codes, standards, and performance-based designs that dictate the best site-specific bollard for the job. (See, e.g., http://www.americantrails.org/resources/trailhead/bollard-oakes-fire-protection.html) We are proud to present real-world design options for the trail industry. It is this attention to “systems” concerns that has catapulted Blue Ember Technologies to a leadership position in the bollard industry. (See http://www.wbdg.org/resources/bollard.php)

But there is more: Blue Ember is ahead of the curve by offering complementary LEED-related consultations by certified Account Managers in behalf of its bollards. Our metallurgy, fabrication and coatings contribute points for facilities like trail-related welcome centers and urban greenways seeking LEED certification. Our quality begins with the first customer contact and continues through manufacturing and after-sale service.

The hallmark of the MaxiForce line is our patented collapsible bollards (see below), which feature two methods of operation and a breakaway feature that allows for emergency access (without the need for tools or keys) to trails, parks, play-grounds and other public venues.

Wrench Removable Design

Hydrant Wrench Removable Design: Hydrant wrenches are standard first responder equipment and allow take-down when time is an important variable, and weather conditions can impair locks or make them inaccessible

Padlock Collapsible Design

Padlock Collapsible Design: When removing and placing aside are not options, this remain-in-place design adds an element of efficiency over its padlocked cousin
